Playng with glass

I'm definitely an absent blogger at the moment, too much to do, not enough hours in the day, you know how it is.  Here is a sneak peak at what I'm working on at the moment...

It's a complicated process involving much mould making; this one only worked in part so we cut off the bits that didn't.  It's now about the size of a soap dish and rather lovely, though I say it myself!  Just need to polish up those edges now, without chipping it...

  1. This is stunning, absolutely gorgeous. If you were to sell it as it is, I would buy one! x

    1. Thank you! That's really encouraging since this module is all about developing a commercial product. The trick is to get the making time down to a reasonable level so that the price isn't sky high... still working on that!

    2. Really nice. I love the combination of the texture and curve - as you've shown, it works well stood either way.

  3. Thank you Jackie :) I have done some experiments with paper between sheets of glass in the kiln - it gets very burnt!
